Pickin' Tomatoes J W Bull Books
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Pickin' Tomatoes and I don't even cook! I love originality and I also loved the fact that the heroine wasn't the most gorgeous woman in the story. The fact that she was middle-aged was a refreshing change, too, but mostly, I fell in love with Maggie's sense of humor and the way that she never gave up!! Maggie is so real that I really felt like I knew her and I really cared about what happened to her which is what makes a good story. Moreover, there aren't any editing mistakes to interrupt the smooth flow of the author's delightful prose. There were many places where I laughed out loud (and that doesn't happen often)! If you want to read a really well-written book (with some yummy-reading recipes included that I didn't try -- I told you that I don't cook! -- but you might want to), then I recommend that you buy and read Pickin' Tomatoes ASAP! Happy Reading! ❤️Product details

Pickin' Tomatoes J W Bull Books Reviews
A great recipe..Humor, Good Food, And True Friends.Great Book
For a read after a trying day at the job site, office, or school classroom..
Can't wait for the next BULL Book
I really enjoyed reading this book, and found myself laughing out loud at parts! I loved the combination of real life struggles with hysterical comedy, and great cooking thrown in to boot! Since I love to cook, I really enjoyed reading her adventures in the kitchen.
Excellent read for any woman who has ever felt like not quite enough...who found herself living a life she can‘t quite remember signing up for. A feel-good reminder that dreams can come true if we work hard enough.
It is rarely that I give a 5 star review, but I loved this book and how the author embraced so many parts of the heroine's life, the disolving of her marriage, learning how to 'understand' her baby, becoming a mother for the first time, learning to cook, trying to have a career and move on with her life. All this produced in a wonderful lighthearted book that had me a captivated and encouraged a lot of soul searching and laugher.
An interesting twist, adding recipes to the story line. This was a nice easy read. I would recommend it wholeheartedly.
This is my first time reading any of J. W. Bull's writing.... it's light, yet entertaining and funny. I read a few pages before I purchased it and was sold. Parts of the book had me laughing aloud. I get her sense of humor... very refreshing. I'm just a fourth of the way into the book, but I think I'll enjoy getting lost in the story... It's about food, but it's about so many life issues that we all can relate to. And since I'd like to find my Mister Right", well what else can I say.
Pickin' Tomatoes is such a fun book! I love Maggie and her struggle with what begins as a fine line, white lie, but they keep getting bigger and bigger! Since I love anything to do with cooking and food I loved all her attempts at cooking and found them hilarious! Especially when my husband asked if he was supposed to leave the skin on the onion!!! Hahaha!! I think Peg is fantastically obnoxious, Richard is a big dummy and Peter is lovely! What a great time! Hoping for a next book!
